Marvel Cocktails Will Make You a Happy Hour Superhero

Not every person can be a superhero, however you sure can rock Happy Hour as one with these Marvel themed cocktails. Adding a Marvel theme to your cocktails will add a powerful punch to your drinks. Everyone will approve, especially when you can make a drink that is based on their favorite hero.

Let The Games Begin

Cocktails are delicious to drink, however, they can be quite entertaining to create as well. Don’t worry, you don’t have to be an expert to assemble any of these. It doesn’t take a lot of skill to create these, you just need to know the right ingredients and how to put them together. No degree in mixology required. Starting with an underdog, this Hawkeye cocktail best served in a highball glass over ice. Begin by coating the rim of the glass with light corn syrup followed by “salting” it with black sugar. Now, taking equal parts of your favorite brands on Blue Curacao and Blackberry Vodka, mix with two parts grape juice. Serve over ice or frozen blackberries. Garnish with fresh mint if you like.

Maybe you want to go for the playboy, incredibly smart and creative Iron Man. For this you will want to use a rocks glass. You can serve this over ice or leave it dry. Either way it will be delicious. This is created by pouring a layer of UV Cherry flavored Vodka with a floated layer of orange juice on top. Very simple but still sophisticated.

It’s All In The Muscles

Ordinarily, these would all be together, in this case, though, these two are a bit of a two step process and belong in a section all their own. Captain America the name says it all, just as the drink speaks for itself. It’s America’s cocktail! This isn’t exactly a mixed drink but a fancy shot. Fill your shot glass with one part UV Cherry flavored vodka and one part UV Blue Raspberry flavored vodka. Top this with a layer of plain vodka.

If you want a drink that screams to Hulk Smash, try this Incredible Hulk themed drink. Using a highball glass, coat the edge with light corn syrup and dress it with purple sugar. Because you can’t have the Hulk cocktail without honoring his signature purple pants. Mix equal parts of Hennessy and Hpnotiq, serve over ice and you will be smashing the dance floor just as the Hulk smashes his enemies.

The Best For Last

The strong, yet quiet Black Widow is the inspiration for this final cocktail. Just as it is comparable to the character, this cocktail is quiet and when you least expect, it hits you and it’s gone. For this, it is fitting to be in a rocks glass with ice. Very simply, layer one part dark rum of your choosing, over one part Aftershock. Simple but it will get you every time.

Bonus Time

For all super fans, check out these old school Marvel Heroes pint glasses and these Avengers shot glasses. These are perfect for decoration or a night of taking shots. Either way, these glasses will be a hit.

Halloween Party Cocktail Ideas

Having drinks at a Halloween party or celebration is a must. At a party geared for children, of course you want to entice the children with child-friendly drinks. However, at a party geared for adults, it is great to have Halloween mocktails and some alcoholic beverages on hand for the guests. As with any themed party, it is important to remember that presentation is key. As a result, I have compiled a list of some of my favorite Halloween party cocktail ideas keeping a spooky theme in mind.

First, the drink that I offered at my first Halloween party. It was a punch that I created. Take one bottle of Champagne, the cheaper the better, and mix it with one bottle of 7-Up or any other lemon-lime soda in a punch bowl. Make two of these concoctions in two separate punch bowls. Add half of a half gallon of lime sherbet to one of the punch bowls and one half of a half gallon of orange sherbet to the other. What this creates is a couple of foaming punches, one which is green and the other orange. They are extremely sweet and tasty as well.

Another idea for a Halloween drink is just another use for Champagne. As I mentioned before, it is all about presentation. My friend has a gargoyle fountain that he put the champagne into. What this creates is a champagne fountain that you just walk up to and put your drinking vessel under to fill up with the drink of the season. As with most fountains, however, it takes many gallons of the stuff to fill up the fountain. So, to go this route, please buy a lot of the drink to fill up the fountain.

A rather popular drink at a Halloween party is beer. However, plain beer is boring, so remember to amp up the presentation. Dress up a cooler to look like a small coffin and place the beer into the cooler for your guests to enjoy. Also, remember that cans of beer take the essence of the party away, so everyone should bring their own drinking vessel or there should be drinking vessels available for use by the party guests.

Last is one of my favorite drinks – mead! Several of my friends and I know how to home brew mead. If you don’t know how to home brew the drink, then you can buy at almost anyplace that has a good selection of wine and beer. Now, mead should be taken with a caution. Mead was a drink from the age of the Vikings, and it was often given at wedding ceremonies. The reason it was given at weddings is that it was a fertility drink to the Vikings, which was designed to make sure that the couple would be gifted with child. However, at a Halloween party, having the drink of the Vikings there is great for a themed party.

Enjoy your Halloween party with one or more of these fun ideas. And, as always, sip responsibly.
